RECEPTION AND TALK BY GILES ORPEN-SMELLIE TO COMMEMORATE THE FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALKLANDS CONFLICT
2022 will, among other things, see the fortieth anniversary of the Falklands conflict of 1982. Giles Orpen-Smellie fought in that conflict as a member of the Parachute Regiment. He will speak about his experiences, and in particular about a soldier's unlimited liability when serving his country, at a reception taking place at Bylaugh Hall on Thursday 7 April 2022. Giles is currently the Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner. Norfolk has never had a two-term PCC. Giles is doing an excellent job and hopes to be re-elected to a second term in 2024. He's holding this event to raise money for the election campaign.
