As you will be aware, the Boundary Commission have been reviewing existing geographical constituency boundaries and have formalised their final recommendations. The rules require there to still be 650 constituencies across the UK, but more equally distributed across the four parts of the UK, which will see the number of constituencies in England increase to 543. Each one must contain a number of electors that is no smaller than 69,724 and no larger than 77,062.
Following the proposals, the new Mid Norfolk constituency will contain the following wards, with their corresponding district council noted alongside:
All Saints & Wayland - Breckland
Attleborough Burgh & Haverscroft - Breckland
Attleborough Queens & Besthorpe - Breckland
Dereham Neatherd - Breckland
Dereham Toftwood - Breckland
Dereham Withburga - Breckland
Hermitage - Breckland
Launditch - Breckland
Lincoln - Breckland
Mattishall - Breckland
Necton - Breckland
Saham Toney - Breckland
Shipdham-with-Scarning - Breckland
The Buckenhams & Banham - Breckland
Upper Wensum - Breckland
Watton - Breckland
Hingham & Deopham - South Norfolk
Wicklewood - South Norfolk
As a result of the changes, Mid Norfolk will be losing the following wards:
Ashill (now South West Norfolk)
Guiltcross (now South West Norfolk)
North Wymondham (now South Norfolk)
Central Wymondham (now South Norfolk)
South Wymondham (now South Norfolk)
